Açai

Euterpe oleracea pulp oil

Açaí is a palm tree that can be found on various locations of the Amazon region. It is mainly sought for the production of juices, ice creams, pies, and food, generally extracted from the pulp of the fruit. It is highly nutritive and energetic, with a peculiar flavor.  The Cupuaçu tree can be found in the northern region of Brazil.  The butter is extracted from the seeds.  The obtained product presents a white-yellowish color and is totally deodorized. It has a high capacity of water absorption, about 240% superior to the Lanolin and some sterols of animal and vegetable origins. Cupuaçu butter is an emollient that provides a pleasant touch with softness to the skin, facilitating the natural humidity and elasticity with great efficiency in dry and battered skins.

Pequi

Caryocar Brasiliense Fruit Oil

The tree, a perennial, which has a gnarled appearance, with rough, wrinkled bark, reaches a height of up to 10 metres. Its leaves are hairy, each one split into three parts, with scalloped edges; its flowers are large and yellow. The fruits each contain between 1 and 4 seeds. The pericarp is thick, fleshy and green-yellow coloured, containing approximately 36% of tannic acid based Pyrogalol.

Almost every part of the tree can be used. The density of the wood, which is yellow-brown, very fibrous and durable, lends itself to tough, rugged applications, such as those requiring resistance to pressure or crushing, or which need to be long lasting. For example it is used in civil and naval construction work, support for pile drivers, etc.

It is fresh and dry fruit skin can replace gallnut in the preparation of  greenish-black ink for handwriting and dry-cleaning.

The fruit are smooth, greenish, spherical, bi-lobed capsules, that dehisce at maturity, liberating the seeds. These have thin, loose, papery rinds, brown at maturity, blackening with time
